Started diagnosing the actual culture towards participation for 11 Coca Cola bottling plants in Mexico.
They have been ( as almost every factory has ) with programs related to Continuos Improvement and Lean Sigma programs. As almost always happens, the insistence of more than 20 years on programs forcing to lower the deviation and conforming the way they think to a specific pattern, we encountered the first challenge in the question... How can standardized thinking can be open to disruptive thinking in order to create competitive advantages?
In the Diagnosis and Design model specially tailored for them, we included :
Short and middle term goals, Support structures throughout the plants and the central managerial quarters, Training programs on innovation, recognition program, electronic platform, special creative teams.
The Innovation program is still running after 4 years.
